Setting yourself up for success

A multicoloured brain next to the title "Setting yourself up for success"

Here are some things I have been working on with some of my clients. Let me know what works and what doesn't.

  1. Decide what success means for you.
  2. Lean into your strengths instead of trying to improve things you find impossible.
  3. Get help to do the other things e.g. buddy up with people who can do those things or get some grant funding from Access to work for support.
  4. Create the best conditions for whatever you are doing, be comfortable, eat, drink water, play music, block out noise. Try different things to see what works.
  5. Body double - work at the same time as someone else, either in person or on a call. Helpful to keep you on track.
  6. Use timers to get you started or to stop your hyperfocus and remind you to eat, drink, pee, go somewhere etc.
  7. Make a list and write down all of the errant thoughts rather than follow them straight away.

Which of these would you like more information about?
